Library Volunteers
The Lee Public Library welcomes volunteers to assist with a variety of library functions. By giving the gift of your valuable time, you can help enhance the library services offered to the public every day. Volunteers are selected based on their qualifications and the needs of the library at any given time.
Here is just a sampling of how volunteers help the library:
• Storytime/craft preparation and assistance
• Photocopying materials
• Receiving book orders and supplies
• Reading and organizing shelves
• Inventory, shifting collection
• Working on library grounds (gardening, weeding)
• Booksale
• Indoor plant care
• Minor facility repairs
• Preparing materials for mailing
• Tutor: computer and other technology skills
• Starting and facilitating a "club" (ie chess, scrabble, art)
• Assisting with special library events (fundraisers, programs)
• Maintain a clipping file and photo album of library-related newpaper
articles and photos.
If you'd like to join our team of valued volunteers, please speak with a librarian.
