FIRST SESSION: To the inhabitants of the Town of Lee, County of Strafford, State of New Hampshire, qualified to vote in Town Affairs, you are hereby notified to meet at the Mast Way School located on Mast Road, Lee at 9:00 am on the 4th of February, 2012. This session shall consist of explanation, discussion and deliberation of the Warrant Articles numbered
1 through 21. Warrant Articles may be amended subject to the following limitations: (a) Warrant Articles whose wording is prescribed by law shall not be amended, and (b) Warrant Articles that are amended shall be placed on the official ballot for a final vote on the main motion as amended.
SECOND SESSION: To the inhabitants of the Town of Lee, County of Strafford, State of New Hampshire, qualified to vote in Town Affairs, you are hereby notified to meet at the Public Safety Complex located on George Bennett Road, Lee on the 13th of March, 2012. The Friends of the Lee Library will be selling food and drink items at the Deliberative Session on Saturday, February 4th at the Mast Way School. Items for sale will include: Turkey Chili, Sausage Corn Stew, Finger Sandwiches, Muffins, Cookies, Brownies, Coffee and Water.
PUBLIC HEARING FEBRUARY 13, 2012
Please be advised the Board of Selectmen for the Town of Lee will hold a Public Hearing at the Public Safety Complex, 20 George Bennett Road, Lee, NH on Monday, FEBRUARY 13, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. relative to rescinding SB2, as proposed by Petition Warrant Article 5.
ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will vote to approve the following: Shall we rescind the provisions of RSA 40:13 (known as SB 2), as adopted by the Town of Lee on March 8, 2011, so that the official ballot will no longer be used for voting on all questions, but only for the election of officers and certain other questions for which the official ballot is required by state law?''
You are invited to appear in person or by representation of agent or counsel to offer input regarding this matter. Written correspondence submitted to the Selectmen’s Office will be acknowledged. Deadline for submission is 4:00 pm on February 13, 2012.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
OYSTER RIVER SCHOOL DISTRICT
Parents of prospective kindergarteners (children who will be 5 years of age by September 30, 2012) for the 2012-2013 school year are asked to stop in at Mast Way or Moharimet Elementary Schools to pick up kindergarten registration packets during school hours. Completed packets may be mailed or dropped off at either school with the child’s birth certificate and immunization record ON OR BEFORE MONDAY, April 2.

Come take a look at the wide variety of books, audio books, videos and DVDs on sale. All books are 6 for $1.00 or 20¢ each, unless otherwise marked. Videos are 25¢ and audio books and DVDs range in price from 25¢ to $1.00.
First Aid Certification

The McGregor Institute of EMS (an affiliate of the Durham Ambulance Corps) and the library are sponsoring an American Heart Association First Aid Certification Course on Monday, February 6 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The course teaches adult, child and infant first aid; participants will receive a 2-year certification card upon success-ful completion of the course. Are You Talking to Me? The Language of Dogs and Cats

Have you ever wondered what your pet was trying to say to you? Dog and cats are talking to us all the time, but unfortunately their message often is lost in translation. Miscommunication leads to poor training, behavior problems like aggressive behavior, and fatal blows to the human-animal bond. This review of canine and feline communication will discuss how dogs and cats use scent, vocalization, and body language to communicate.
