Police pursuing new lead in Lee hit-and-run

LEE — Police are continuing to pursue new leads in a hit and run after a television viewer provided new insight on the incident, WMUR is reporting.
According to the reports, on Thursday evening continuing into Friday morning, a vehicle traveling west on Route 4 crossed into the other lane before going off the road. Once off the road, the car traveled in a ditch until coming to the edge of a parking lot at 86 Concord Road, according to WMUR.
Once in the parking lot, the suspect vehicle hit a parked minivan causing extensive damage to it, as well as a BMW parked across the parking lot, the report stated.
After the story was shown on WMUR on Saturday morning, an individual called Lee police stating his grandson was driving a company car at the same time as the alleged hit and run incident and the car sustained "substantial damage," according to reports.
Police say they will continue to update the public about the status of the case as soon as the man's grandson is interviewed.
