New in Fall 2010, we can take brush at the Transfer Station with logs having a 4’ length and 8” diameter limit, however we cannot take stumps. We can take plain bare boards and two by’s, but only if they have NO paint or finish and not pressure treated. That wood must go to the Bulky Fee Building for weighing. The town has gone to the expense of have the brush “tub ground” as this eliminates the chance of our burn pile getting into the nearby woods as well as the smoke bothering our neighbors. Burn permits are available from the Fire Dept under certain conditions.
