About the Lee Police Department

About

Community Relations:

Members of the Lee Police Department strive to provide a better quality of life for the community it serves. It is not uncommon to see officers stop to talk with residents out mowing their lawns or for an officer to get out of the cruiser and briefly interact with children playing. In the community of Lee it is not always the arrest of a “bad guy” that prevents crime. Sometimes it is the relationships we foster with our community members using friendliness and compassion that help us succeed in building a safer and happier place to live.

Customer Base:

The Town of Lee is considered to be a bedroom community.  A majority of our roughly 5,000 individuals live here but work in other communities. There is a small commercial base, mostly in the areas of Route 125 and Route 4 as these two highways provide access to Massachusetts and the North Country.

Organization Structure:

The Lee Police Department current structure is a Chief of Police, two Sergeants, two Corporals, four Patrol Officers, one Part-time Officer and an Administrative Assistant.
