Biography

Chief Dronsfield initially became a full-time Lee Police Officer November of 1991. He was promoted to Sergeant in March of 1992, but left the employ of the Lee Police Department in September of 1994 to expand his career. He continued to work in law enforcement until July of 1998. After a brief hiatus, he re-joined the Lee Police Department as a Patrolman. In November of 2005 he was promoted to the position of Sergeant and was promoted to the position of Chief of Police, effective March 1, 2014. Chief Dronsfield had most recently worked as the Patrol Division Commander in charge of crime prevention, investigations of crimes, traffic, coordinating services with other emergency service providers, development of community-oriented policing, schedules and vehicle maintenance. In addition, Chief Dronsfield holds a Bachelors Degree from Columbia Southern University and is the CALEA Accreditation Manager, a certified Field Training Officer, Motorcycle Officer, and Driving Instructor.
