Lee Police Activity Log for 10/11/22 to 10/20/22:
Arrests:
- John McCauley of Milton, NH
            ~ Operating After Suspension, Subsequent
            ~ Misuse of Plates X2 (Vehicle & Trailer)
Calls for Service:
- Performed 60 directed patrols and business checks.
- Performed 30 motor vehicle stops, including 5 for speed.
- Assisted DCYF with an inquiry.
- Complaint of a trailer parked blocking a roadway. Who put that there? Contacted culprit. Parking position properly placed, road access restored.
- Responded to 2 domestic disturbance calls.
- 911 Hang-up caused by power surge… or was it gremlins?
- Investigated 2 abandoned motor vehicles.
- Assisted Lee Fire with traffic control.
- 911 caller reporting a speedy Jeep doing more than 90 MPH. Maybe a DeLorean disguised as a Jeep???... because it was “gone”, like Marty McFly “gone”.
- Responded to 2 noise complaints.
- Took information about a vehicle repossession.
- Responded with the Lee Fire and McGregor Ambulance, to 20 medical aid calls.
- UPS driver reported speeding, operating recklessly, causing confrontation, and generally behaving badly. UPS notified of the behavior unbecoming. They will check GPS, ID driver and dole out discipline.  
- Responded to 9 motor vehicle accidents.
- Took a report of stalking.
- Road hazard: random rug right in the middle of the road… but what kind? Shag? Braided? Persian? Toupee?  
- Responded to 3 disabled motor vehicle calls.
- Conducted 6 residence checks.
- Tree down blocking travel lane on Campground. Fallen tree branch removed from roadway near Pinkham/Calef.  Tree down near Calef and 152.  Off ramp onto Route 4 closed by fallen tree. Tree down on Garrity. Tree down on Packers Falls. Watch out!!! It’s arbor-geddon out there… Trees, wires and branches, “Oh My!”
- Assisted other agencies on 3 occasions.
- Responded with Lee Fire for a school fire drill.
- 911 call from a bicyclist reporting being passed on a double yellow. But… 911? For reals?
- Responded to 5 alarm activations.
- Assisted Lee Fire with investigation an odor of gas. No, it wasn’t chili night.
- Responded to 10 motor vehicle complaints.
- What do donuts and fishtails have in common? We’ll take bad driving habits for $500. Newbie learning… given educational guidance on more acceptable maneuvers.
- Conducted 3 welfare checks.
- Served paperwork to 2 residents.
- Uprooted political signs using found freedom to fluster frustrated drivers by contributing to the treacherous gauntlet that is THE Lee Traffic Circle.
- Conducted a civil standby.
- Conducted follow up on 5 cases.
- Driver left road, met trees, avoided deer. Oh dear!
- Assisted citizens on 8 occasions.
- Investigated 6 suspicious vehicles.
- Truck towing trailer with a flat reportedly shedding rubber, depositing tree debris, and swerving. Found the troubled truck and trailer taking care of tire trauma.
- Responded with Lee Fire for 2 fire alarms.
- Handled 4 animal control calls.
- Two people dressed in all black walking through yards. Canvased area and surrounding neighborhoods with no contact. Will remain watchful. Be aware, stay safe and if you see something, say something.
- Provided fingerprinting for a resident.
- Took a theft report.
- 911 call reporting a dog left by itself in a car. Puppy parent returned to accompany pet. Caller hung up. This one solved itself, but again… 911???
- Conducted a lockdown drill at the school.
- Responded to a suspicious activity call.
- Skunk caught in a have-a-heart trap. Who’s gonna have the heart to let it out? Fish and Game! Those guys are GREAT!
- 2 found wallets turned in and returned to owners.
- Assisted with 1 motor vehicle lockout.
- Vehicle unable to maintain speed or lane control. Stopped. Field sobriety tests. EMS called for medical issue. It’s worth a reminder, if you don’t feel well, don’t drive. Have someone else drive. Make good choices and be safe.
- Missing plate reported.
- Complaint of pavers working without traffic detail. Checked and confirmed company had traffic controllers, were set up correctly and cleared to continue construction.
- Responded with Lee Fire for a report of burning rubber smell. Donuts again?
- 911 caller reporting 2 goats approaching the road, about to walk into the roadway. Horn honk helped herd goats home. No kidding!
