Calls for Service:
- Performed 78 directed patrols and business checks.
- Performed 40 motor vehicle stops, including 18 for speed.
- Investigated 2 abandoned motor vehicles.
- We’ve said it before, we’ll say it once more; the silly ole circle is never a bore. A caller reported a driver was toking; upon closer look, Cocaine they were smoking. They had fashioned a pipe from aluminum foil; the fact they were driving caused us to roil. We did try to find them and had something to say; but were frustrated to find they had gotten away.
- Conducted 26 residence checks.
- Assisted with a motor vehicle lockout.
- Addressed a parking complaint.
- Person concerned about an odd tanker truck, dumping some water in Wednesday Hill Brook. Met with the driver who told us about; how he wasn’t putting it in, he was taking water out. The driver did show that he had permission, which quickly resolved any suspicion.
- Assisted Lee Fire with a carbon monoxide alarm.
- Responded to a domestic disturbance call.
- Took a report of a dog bite.
- Fellow following friends fear fueled petition to phone police if he hasn’t heard from him come a certain count on the clock. Wish for welfare watch was precipitated by persons petrifying promise to harm him. Welfare worry waned when we found friend was fine.
- Assisted other agencies on 13 occasions.
- Found wallet returned to owner.
- Responded to 5 motor vehicle complaints.
- A person had parked and was ready to shop, but what they saw next had them calling a cop. They got out of their car and suddenly spied, a car with no parent but a young child inside. Before we arrived the parent came back, and we found that we had little info to track. We ask you to please not leave kids in the car, we hope this reminder reaches quite far.  It’s not only the law but it’s really not safe, in this day and age why would you tempt fate?
- Conducted 2 welfare checks.
- Conducted 2 civil standbys.
- Conducted follow up on 5 cases.
- Resident requesting response regarding ‘river’ running rampant in residence requiring remediation… and maybe a raft.
- Assisted citizens on 17 occasions.
- Responded to 4 calls for vehicles off the road.
- Investigated 2 suspicious vehicles.
- Round umpteenth million and thirty-three, of rumpus in the rotary.  This time a guy was picking stuff up, that sadly had fallen out of his truck. The commotion it caused was of such concern, a 911 call it quickly did earn. We showed up on scene to help make a way; clearly this guy had had a bad day. He was grouchy, and shouting, and really quite mad; but who could blame him after the day that he had.
- Responded with the Lee Fire and McGregor Ambulance, to 13 medical aid calls.
- Took a report of a stolen license plate.
- Responded to 8 motor vehicle accidents.
- A resident got a call from a crook, lucky they didn’t fall for the hook. They called to report it so we would know, don’t think it warranted 911 though.
- Responded to 3 disabled motor vehicle calls.
- Removed 4 road hazards.
- Addressed 18 tree(s)/wire(s) down.
- It was after one in the morning and a person was hearing, people talking outside which had them now fearing. Lucky for us there was new fallen snow, which revealed only deer tracks, no people’s to show. When we got first got there the deer we could see, the presence of people would cause them to flee. We checked out the yard and looked all around, but no cause of the voices or trespass was found.
- Notified of an alarm system being tested.
- Made 3 stops for Jessica’s Law violation (snow on car roof).
- Responded to 4 alarm activations.
- Served paperwork to 2 residents.
- A person called us distressed for a friend, released from the hospital and sent home to mend. The friend had called them sounding quite frantic, they were locked out of the house and concern was gigantic. It had been many hours and lots of unanswered calls, the worry and ‘what ifs’ had them climbing the walls. We knocked on the door and found the friend well, the landlord had keys and all was just swell.
- Performed a VIN verification.
- Addressed a truancy issue.
- Took 4 reports of fraud.
- Responded for a disturbance.
- Someone called 911 for a car off the road, it had crashed into a tree and would need to be towed. The driver at first was nowhere in sight, but soon would appear right out of the night. He claimed he was driving and other things blurt, from the state of the car he should have been hurt. As things unfolded it became rather clear, this guy wasn’t driving he was pulling our ear. With the nonsense all sorted and the true driver ID’ed, we made sure the person got the help they would need.
