Activity Log 11/16/22 to 11/26/22

Look what the wind blew in... the love-LEE log that seems to have a growing fan club. Sorry for the delay, the holiday and ensuing food coma got us a bit off schedule. Hope it was worth the wait and gives you a smile.
Lee Police Activity Log for 11/16/22 to 11/26/22:
Arrests:

     ~ Electronic Bench Warrant (EBW)
Calls for Service:
- Performed 80 directed patrols and business checks.
- Performed 55 motor vehicle stops, including 27 for speed.
- Damage done, items taken… criminal mischief, no mistakin’. Police on the prowl for those run afoul. The very next day, suspects came back to play. Tried to hide in the woods but it did them no good. Failed get away, now the piper they pay.
- Investigated 4 abandoned motor vehicles.
- Performed 2 VIN verifications.
- Tenant requested officer response for a damaged window and missing cell phone. Arrived to take report. Turned away because we didn’t call to schedule first. Seriously… ! or ? or maybe !?! So many ways to punctuate this one.
- Conducted 23 residence checks.
- Assisted with a motor vehicle lockout.
- Caller concerned by car continuously camping out. Daily destination of driver doing bus stop duty, delayed departure due to dual drop-off times.
- Found an open door during checks, investigated, and secured.
- Assisted other agencies on 7 occasions.
- Assisted Lee Fire with a chimney fire. Oh no, hope it’s fixed in time for Santa.
- Took a report of keys stolen from a locker.
- Responded to 5 motor vehicle complaints.
- Canine trio created chaos chasing jogger out for jaunt with their canine companion. New to neighborhood, nuisance notice noted, now know the no-noes.
- Responded to a 911 hang-up call.
- Took a report of a past tense hit and run accident.
- Complaint about a neighbor’s outdoor fire. Fire department determined distance, contents, permits, etc. all in order… nothing s’more to complaint about.
- Conducted 1 welfare check.
- Addressed 1 tree(s)/wire(s) down.
- Female reporting a friend supposed to be helping her move, is instead acting shady and being quite rude. If you offer assistance, please don’t have a ‘tude, just do as you promised, don’t be like this dude.
- Responded with Lee Fire for 2 fire alarm activations.
- Conducted follow up on 8 cases.
- 911 call reporting TT units parked along roadway blocking traffic. Troublesome trucks causing confusion and delay. Bet Sir Topham Hatt would have something to say about that.
- Removed 3 road hazards.
- Assisted citizens on 8 occasions.
- Medication missing from mail, mistake or mischief? The possibly pilfered pills require report for replacement.
- Investigated 3 suspicious vehicles.
- Responded with Lee Fire for an odor of propane.
- 911 call from a drive-up ATM user being berated by a peculiar pedestrian. The words were not clear but the message was… the individual was irritated, by what is still a mystery. Caller continued on, cautiously carrying cash, watching the wild walker act weird before wandering off. Bank notified of suspect’s shady shenanigans.
- Responded to 3 suspicious activity calls.
- Responded with the Lee Fire and McGregor Ambulance, to 14 medical aid calls.
- Tractor trailer took treacherous turn toward trouble. Moves to maneuver managed to mangle mailboxes, making a mess.
- Responded to 15 motor vehicle accidents.
- Responded to 5 disabled motor vehicle calls.
- Person called to inquire why some can do raffles and others cannot. It’s not really our purview but we’ll give it a shot; but instead of just guessing, and wondering why, we gave them some numbers they’ll hopefully try.
- Took a report of vandalism.
- Provided fingerprinting for 2 residents.
- Tree and trampoline reported tangling with traffic. We sprang into action knowing results could be graphic. Jumping into the road we recovered the two, before anyone was injured… can you say “Phew!”? Having handled the crisis, we could now bounce, onto the next call we’ll happily pounce.
- Responded to 4 alarm activations.
- Smoke reported at a local garden nursery. Responded with Lee Fire to investigate.
- Mighty good neighbors watching a house, called in a stranger, a possible louse. Delivery truck noticed parked in the drive, 20 minutes later, still no package arrived. Police were called and responded out, but no one was found lurking about. It’s only a theory, truly a hunch… but we think that the driver was just having lunch.
