Calls for Service:
- Performed 77 directed patrols and business checks.
- Performed 52 motor vehicle stops, including 23 for speed.
- The landlord and tenant that have been making the logs, the ones who ‘play games’ and fight like bad dogs… We’re not Sorry to say they are parting their ways. They had a Monopoly on our time many days. We understand life can be like Chutes and Ladders, but it’s how it is handled that in the end really matters. When things get rough the best Operation, is not to cause Trouble worsening the situation. If you want our Suggestion to improve the Game of Life, we’ll give you a Clue, don’t add to the strife. It’s worth the Risk to rise up and stand, make better choices, life could become Candy Land.
- Investigated 4 abandoned motor vehicles.
- Conducted 27 residence checks.
- With the high cost of eggs it’s awful to think, that some had gone rotten and started to stink. The odor reported was found coming from tanks, of a person who scraps them and sometimes it ‘stanks’. (had to, sorry, lol).
- Assisted with 3 motor vehicle lockouts.
- Assisted other agencies on 4 occasions.
- A responsible friend has a pal that was sad, who stated some things that sounded quite bad. They called us to check on them out of concern, thankful all was okay as we later would learn.
- Assisted Lee Fire with an odor investigation.
- Responded to 4 motor vehicle complaints.
- Conducted 3 welfare check.
- Caller reporting a dead cat that seemed odd, not merely a housecat but one known as bob. Yes a bob cat was struck and left by the road, it’s tragic and sad that much we know.
- Conducted a civil standby.
- Registered 2 sex offenders.
- Conducted follow up on 6 cases.
- 911 caller reported a driver being small, hunched and old. No driving infractions, that’s all we were told. It is not a crime to drive old, hunched, or small; and probably didn’t warrant a 911 call.
- Assisted citizens on 6 occasions.
- Responded to 3 calls for vehicles off the road.
- Investigated 3 suspicious vehicles.
- 911 call about a car break checking “excessively” and tailgating; but it happened 2 hours ago, nothing like waiting.
- Responded to 2 suspicious activity calls.
- Notified of 2 alarm systems being tested.
- Responded with the Lee Fire and McGregor Ambulance, to 13 medical aid calls.
- Caller complained a car came close to causing a crash by brake checking constantly after aggressively pushing past, post terrible tailgating. Suspect has since sped off.
- Took a report of a lost wallet.
- Responded to 5 motor vehicle accidents.
- Investigated a noise complaint.
- 911 call about a car that was veering, a poor driving issue involving their steering. We did our best to get there in time, but while on the call they crossed the town line.
- Responded to 5 disabled motor vehicle calls.
- Provided fingerprinting for a resident.
- Responded to 4 alarm activations.
- 911 call about an auto absolutely all over, caller couldn’t continue close keep and quit. We were working where we weren’t nearby, notified neighboring police pals to peel peepers perchance the person passes by.
- Served paperwork to 2 residents.
- Performed a VIN verification.
- Found an open door during checks, investigated, secured, and notified resident.
- Received a report of a kid not at school. Maybe they’re sick or car ran out of fuel. We went to the home to check on the child, a parent was home and no one was riled. It turns out the youth didn’t feel like attending, but decided to go after our recommending.
- Responded to a 911 hang-up call.
- Took a report of a phone scam.
- Took a report of fraud.
- A dog and her owner were hiking some trails, but when they got to the park things went off the rails.  They encountered a man with a dog on a lead, which bit the 1st dog and caused it to bleed.  In the ensuing chaos no info was exchanged, and now we are trying to get that arranged. Before we can do that this is the groaner, we need to ID the name of the owner.
- Responded for a disturbance.
- Loose dog reunited with their family.
- Another 911 call, again about a car; this takes the cake though, truly, by far. The car it was seen all over the road. It was speeding then slowing, no lane control showed. The caller described it as weaving and swerving, the driving it showed was completely unnerving. It wasn’t too long before it crashed in a ditch; that should be the ending… with us calling a hitch. That’s not how this ended, not by a mile; this guy was determined to drive for a while. Now loose from the ditch and back on his way; with his really bad driving skills on full display. He managed to drive just a little bit farther, before popping a tire and driving got harder. It was here at this point he made our acquaintance, and it was clear that his car would be needing some maintenance.  We called for a tow, and gave him a ride; back to the station we led him inside. Once he was booked and the B.C. was done, he was given a court date to discuss all this fun.
