Back from hiatus, the new log is here; hope it informs you, and brings you cheer.

Calls for Service:
- Performed 144 directed patrols and business checks.
- Performed 154 motor vehicle stops, including 55 for speed.
- Provided fingerprinting for a resident.
- This call sets a theme, you’ll see through the log; more people are driving, with their head in a fog.  It’s simply not safe, to drive while you’re tired; as with this call, let’s see what transpired. A witness called in, on the 911 line; to report someone swerving, clearly not fine. The car that was swerving, now left its lane; it crossed into traffic, then onto terrain. It didn’t stop there, it went into the grass; then took out a mailbox, still on the gas. It went into a ditch, then back on the road; and finally stopped, after it slowed. The car was now sitting, on the opposite side; facing oncoming traffic, after its ride. The driver was lucky, no injuries or tow; they’d fallen asleep, that much we know. It could have been worse, the cost very steep; all this because, they needed more sleep.
- Responded with Lee Fire for a water leak.
- Conducted a civil stand by.
- Removed 2 road hazards.
- Here comes another, “all over the road”; we pulled the car over, and up to it strode. The driver stepped out, and completed our test; which showed they were sober, just needed more rest.
- Took a phone scam report.
- Responded with Lee Fire for an unpermitted burn.
- Responded with Lee Fire for 3 fire alarm activations.
- A blue pickup truck, was driving quite slow; looping the street, causing suspicions to grow. Were they casing the neighborhood, looking to steal; or maybe just lost, or delivering a meal? Sadly they mystery, will stay just that; we didn’t make contact, to have us a chat.
- Served paperwork to 10 residents/businesses.
- Investigated 5 abandoned motor vehicles.
- Responded for a complaint.
- A caller reported, a road rage event; a person had scared them, one hundred percent. It started with tailgating, that became angry passing; he then cut them off, his behavior harassing. He slammed on his brakes, making them stop; then out of his car, did angrily hop. He yelled at the ladies, causing them fear; then he sped off, his face in a sneer. The women (so shaken), did not get a plate; we did what we could, but this turkey escaped.
- Took a report of harassment.
- Addressed 1 call for tree(s)/wire(s) down.
- Responded with the Lee Fire and McGregor Ambulance, to 24 medical aid calls.
- What did we tell you, bad driving’s a trend; here’s another 911 call, for us to attend. A black car is going, both on and off road; they were going fast, but now they had slowed. We managed to stop them, and check their condition; driving while tired, put them in this position. They were given a warning, for poor lane control; we suggested more rest, as a set daily goal.
- Responded to 6 disabled motor vehicle calls.
- Responded to 4 motor vehicle accidents.
- Found an open door during checks, investigated, and secured.
- A break from bad driving, here comes a doozy; a gardener found bones, leaving them woozy. The bones were intact, and wore scraps of fabric; causing concern, they had found something tragic. Happy to say, after expert review; the bones were not human, so no more ado.
- Visited the school for a walk through.
- Responded for a panic alarm.
- Made multiple attempts to serve an arrest warrant.
- An emergency call, through the 911 line; said a guy in a store, showed mental decline. He was pacing around, and acting quite odd; like he was high, but ready to nod. We rolled up and found him, looking all out of sorts; and took him to county then wrote the reports.
- Responded to 9 alarm activations.
- Conducted 6 residence checks.
- Assisted with a motor vehicle lockout.
- Another driving complaint, as a 911 call; about a sedan, driving quite off the wall. We caught up and stopped them, and soon we could see; the driver was rushing, needing to pee. They hopped out if the car, doing “the dance”; the international sign for “about to wet pants”. They were given a warning, and sent on their way; we hope that they “made it”, in spite of delay.
- Assisted other agencies on 4 occasions.
- Received 18 motor vehicle complaints.
- Responded with Lee Fire for a fire drill at the school.
- Didn’t we tell you, that you’d see a theme; here’s another 911 call, about driving extreme. It seems that a van, was in a big hurry; acting erratic, causing people to worry. It was tailgating people, then passing them by; came close to crashing, nearly side swiped a guy. We were out on the road, and got him to stop; he wasn’t too happy, and was short with the cop. While being a turkey, isn’t a crime; kindness is better, every time.
- Handled 14 property related calls.
- Conducted follow up on 10 cases.
- Assisted citizens on 10 occasions.
- As if the circle, isn’t trouble enough; dropped bags of mulch, made things extra rough. There were so many bags, and such a commotion; that we called DOT, to help restore motion. The truck that had lost them, quickly came back; and they also helped us, get things back on track.
- Investigated 9 suspicious vehicles.
- Addressed a parking complaint.
- Investigated a noise complaint.
- Someone getting prank calls, called 911; what began as a group chat, was no longer fun. The calls kept on coming, like forty or more; their patience was wearing, right down to the core. We contacted the number, calling the phone; who claimed victim also, “please leave me alone”. After our chat, with “Anonymous” ended; so did the calls, that had so offended.
- Investigated 3 suspicious activity calls.
- Assisted DCYF with 2 referrals.
- Tree on wires, on fire, Eversource enroute, 13 minute ETA.
- A 911 call, from a joint here in town; asked for our help, with someone acting a clown. A guy in the drive thru, was causing a scene; refusing to leave, and acting obscene. Potentially joking, though acting rude; propositioning clerks, just isn’t cool dude. Just pay for your food, like everyone does; offering “alternative methods”, has them calling the “fuzz”.
