WILL I NEED TO SHOW IDENTIFICATION?

A photo ID is required to vote. If you choose not to show a photo ID at the time of voting you must complete a Challenged Voter Affidavit form RSA 659:13.

CAN I REGISTER TO VOTE NOW?

Voter registration may be completed at the Town Clerk’s office up to 10 days prior to an election or at the polling place during the time of voting. You may register to vote with a U.S. Passport. If you do not have a U.S. Passport, you may also register to vote with your driver’s license and a birth certificate. Proof of residency is also required.

HOW DO I OBTAIN AN ABSENTEE BALLOT?

  • You may come to the Town Clerk’s office and fill out an Absentee Ballot Application, or
  • You may write or fax a request to the Town Clerk that you are not able to vote in person on Election Day. Please state the reason why you cannot vote in person. Be sure to include the name and address where the ballot is to be sent and SIGN the request.
  • ONLINE – you may visit the Town Clerk's webpage to download an Absentee Ballot Application. Please complete the Application and mail it to the Town Clerk.

WHEN DOES THE ABENTEE BALLOT NEED TO BE RETURNED TO THE TOWN CLERK?

The Town Clerk must receive the ballot by  5pm the day before the election and be personally delivered by the voter. If delivered by mail, ballots are must be received no later than 5:00pm on Election Day.
